Week 2. You know the drill. Here are some of the best sounds that we’ve managed to congregate over the past week:

Metronomy – Whitsand Bay (Myd Remix)

We had to start the list with this remix. Myd has been extremely consistent with the quality of the releases he has been putting out. He’s made a giant leap in regards to his sound too, from his more techno-influenced tracks on Bromance Records/Marble, to his hazy and summery sound that he’s known for now. He will undoubtedly continue to impress with every release to come.

BarbWalters – Emotions

Known for his album “Pleasure“, which is regarded by some people as one of the best Future Funk albums of all time, BarbWalters sought to build on his last album and succeeded with his tracks on “Innocent“. We had to pick one track, so we went with “Emotions”. Fans of Future Funk with chunky rhythms and perfect sampling will be right at home with this release.

ConsciousThoughts – Ur On My Mind (CyanRed Edit)

Last week, we spoke about ConsciousThoughts’ emotionally driven French House track “Ur On My Mind” with its smooth and pristine soundscapes. Now, CyanRed steps up to the plate and delivers a fresh spin on the latter track, with a stomping bassline and enough compressed drums to make Yung Bae cry.

K.K. Disco (Strawberry Station Remix)

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has dominated this year. With the amount of people stuck inside because of quarantine, you’d understand why lots of people would turn to the bubbly and laid-back atmosphere that the game offers you. To celebrate hitting 1,500 followers on Twitter, Canada-based artist, Strawberry Station shared his eclectic take on the “K.K. Disco” track.

argonaut&wasp – (We’re) Alive

New York City’s argonaut&wasp create sensual music that anyone can enjoy at any time. “(We’re) Alive” continues their solid streak of fantastic compositions, ushering in dreamy synth-lines and organic instrumentation that sits very nicely with everything else.

DUCAT – Nu Diskette

Lastly, we have DUCAT and his wonderful new track, “Nu Diskette”. Future Funk fans will be delighted with this triumphant microcosm of funky goodness. DUCAT also has an album coming very soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
